Wednesday April 15th @ 7pm: Oxford SciBar - Scientific Discovery: What are we on about? with Dr Sylvia McLain
Dr Sylvia McLain is a biophysicist at the University of Oxford where she runs a research group who's primary aim is to understand the physics of life, by looking at biology on the atomic level. Sylvia is also an armchair philosopher who is interested in the structure and philosophy of modern science, how it works and what its limitations are. She is also a retired mountain climber and kayak instructor and failed petrol station attendant and pizza delivery girl. Join us for what will be a fascinating discussion about the structure of scientific discovery and busting stereotypes amongst other things! Come along to the Blue Room upstairs at St.Aldates Tavern on Wednesday April 15th at 7pm to find out!
